What We Do

Discharge Home

$295

You check in. I bring you home.

For outpatient facilities that allow solo check-in. I arrive before your discharge, receive you from the nursing staff, make the pharmacy stop, and get you home.

Pharmacy included · Facility policy confirmed at intake

Full Companion

$425

Most procedures

Pickup at your door. I check in as your registered responsible adult, wait however long the procedure takes — no overage — then discharge, pharmacy, and home. Covers all outpatient procedures requiring sedation or a responsible adult.

Surgical delays are common. You'll be sedated. The rate doesn't change.

Pharmacy included · Flat rate, no matter how long
Add-on Recovery Hours $95

Two hours at home after discharge. Someone with you while the anesthesia wears off.

Add-on · Full Companion only · Add at booking

Common procedures

Colonoscopy · Cataract surgery · Knee arthroscopy · Hernia repair · MOHS · Dental sedation · GI endoscopy · Orthopedic injections · Any outpatient procedure requiring a responsible adult

Not sure which service fits? One question at intake decides it. Both services include pharmacy. Both are HSA/FSA eligible — you pay via Stripe, then submit the receipt to your health savings account administrator for reimbursement. Eligibility varies by plan; confirm with your administrator. Payment at booking.

How your day works

    Book a 15-minute call

Tell Peter your facility and procedure. Nothing to sign yet.

  2. 2

    Sign and pay

Service agreement and payment link sent same day. Due in 24 hours.

  3. 3

    Peter calls your facility

Check-in policy and discharge process confirmed before your day.

  4. 4

    Day-prior confirmation

Pickup time and final details confirmed the evening before.

  5. 5

    Peter arrives at your door

Pickup from home, not the facility. He texts when he's on his way.

  6. 6

    Check-in, wait, discharge, pharmacy, home

Every step of the procedure day handled. Flat rate, no surprises.

You've handled everything else yourself. This is the one part of the day that requires another person — and hiring a professional is exactly what capable, independent adults do.

Why Kavia

The person you spoke to is the person who shows up.

You call Peter, Peter books it, Peter walks through your door. When you come out of recovery, you'll recognize the face.

Handles the day so nothing falls through.

Every booking confirmed in writing. Every facility called in advance to verify check-in policy for your specific procedure. Every discharge instruction reviewed with the nursing staff before you leave.

Prepared before you arrive.

Every facility Peter hasn't worked is visited in advance — parking, check-in, what the nursing staff needs at discharge. No first-timer surprises on your day.

About Peter

Peter, founder of Kavia

Peter

Founder · RYT 600 · Port Richey, FL

I'm Peter. I started Kavia after watching my uncle miss two scheduled surgeries — no one to drive, no one to wait, no plan for the day. He'd done the hard part. The logistics undid him.

There's enough stress before they cut you open. You shouldn't have to solve that too.

I spent years caring for my father through a long disability and sitting with my mother through two cancers. I know that room. I'm a certified yoga teacher — trained to show up, stay calm, and be present. I live in Port Richey. I started Kavia so the next person like my uncle has someone there.

Questions people ask before booking

After your intake call I send a secure payment link. Payment confirms your booking. If payment isn't completed within 24 hours, the booking is released. No surprises day-of — everything is confirmed in advance.
Full Companion is a flat rate — I stay until you're discharged and home, however long it takes. No overage. Surgical delays happen; that's exactly why the rate is flat.
For Full Companion: yes. I check in with you as your registered responsible adult and wait on-site through the entire procedure. For Discharge Home: I arrive before discharge and receive you directly from the nursing staff.
Most likely yes. Outpatient surgery companion services qualify as a medical expense under most HSA and FSA plans. You pay Kavia via Stripe, then submit the receipt to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement — the same process as any other medical expense. Eligibility varies by employer plan; confirm with your administrator before booking if you're unsure.
Yes. General liability insurance with a non-owned auto rider for patient transport. Background-checked. HCS registration with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration in process — completed before any engagement. Documentation available on request.
Any outpatient facility in Pasco County. The main hospitals are listed above. If yours isn't on that list, mention it at intake — I'll confirm logistics and be there.
On the way home I stop at a standard pharmacy on the route to pick up any discharge prescriptions. Included in both services, not an add-on. If there's no prescription to fill, we skip it.
Yes. At intake we set up a contact — whoever you want kept in the loop. I text them when you've checked in and when you're discharged. They stay informed without having to call the facility.
As early as you can. Availability is limited and procedure dates book up — the sooner you reach out, the better.
Surgery dates move around — just let me know as soon as you do and we'll find a new date based on availability. Rescheduling terms are in your booking confirmation.
